The DMB Redwood City Saltworks community-based planning process relies on local residents who want a better future for this 1,433-acre industrial property. Thousands of citizens have embraced this process and provided the Saltworks team with clear direction to create a balance of uses that will offer significant public and environmental benefits.

The current chapter of the process is a three-part citizen planning workshop series, where residents are getting the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and contribute directly to a community-based plan. The end result will be a plan that reflects the goals and priorities of the local community, and one we can collectively be proud of.

Please take this opportunity to review the results of the first workshop, held November 15 at the Veterans Senior Memorial Center.

The Saltworks planning team will add this valuable information to the feedback previously received during the outreach process to create a development framework that reflects the priorities and opinions of Redwood City's citizen planners. This framework will be presented in the second community workshop, planned for January, and participants will be able to participate in exercises to plan specific uses on the site.
