John Bruno, Senior Vice PresidentJohn oversees all management duties associated with the DMB Redwood City Saltworks operation. He has more than 20 years of management experience in the local real estate market, as well as worldwide, from his tenure as an executive in the high technology industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in business administration from Santa Clara University. John is a director for the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, Technology Credit Union, Housing Trust of Santa Clara County, St. Ignatius College Preparatory and is on the Advisory Board for Resource Area for Teachers.
Kun Elsayed, Senior Finance ManagerKun provides financial support and direction for the team. She has over 15 years of experience in the financial field, and has worked in places such as Hong Kong and New York.
Eric Harrison, Vice President of Community DevelopmentEric is responsible for overseeing conceptual community planning for the Saltworks site. Eric has more than 23 years of experience in the land planning field. Eric has a bachelor’s degree in geography from California State University Long Beach and a master’s degree in real estate development from the California State University Long Beach. In addition, Eric is a director for the San Francisco based not for profit On Lok Senior Health services organization.
Michael Henderson, Director of Political & Community OutreachMichael came to DMB Associates when an Oakland-based group put an initiative on the Redwood City ballot to try to stop the Saltworks. Michael was solely responsible for one of the most successful on-the-ground, grassroots mobilization efforts in the Peninsula’s history. Today, Michael leads the community outreach efforts on behalf of the Saltworks and is responsible for various government and regulatory relations efforts. Michael began his career in California politics working for California Secretary of State Jerry Brown on his first bid for California governor in 1975. After working for Jerry Brown, Michael then began work for Speaker of the Assembly Leo T. McCarthy and stayed with McCarthy until 1982. Since that time, Michael has worked in variety of senior level positions providing political and public affairs guidance to local, national and international companies.
Nori Jabba, Director of Community AffairsNori grew up on the Peninsula and has lived in Redwood City for 14 years. She has a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College in Iowa, a master’s in urban and regional planning from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and is an accredited new urbanist. She is a director for the Northern California Chapter of Congress for the New Urbanism, a board member of Peninsula Juniors Volleyball Club, sits on the Historic Resources Advisory Committee, and is active in the Redwood City San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce. Nori volunteers for Our Lady of Mount Carmel School and several other community organizations. She is a member of the San Mateo County Historical Association, the California Preservation Foundation, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the American Planning Association.
Steve Letterly, Vice President of EntitlementsSteve directs environmental compliance for all California entitlement projects from project inception to fulfillment of terms and conditions. He is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, holding both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in urban and regional planning. Steve has an extensive 30-year background as an urban planning professional directing multifaceted land use and transportation projects.
Roberta Rand Marshall, Senior Vice President Entitlements and OperationsRoberta currently oversees many of the most complex entitlements efforts in DMB’s Pacific Operating Group. She holds a master’s degrees in urban planning and architecture and an undergraduate degree in geography. Her 25 years in managing the entitlements and construction of large scale community development projects bring a unique expertise to the entitlements team.
Jay Reed, Director of Communications and Strategic planningJay has more than 15 years experience working in political communications on the local, regional and state level. He has directed efforts of large land use projects, complex real estate entitlements and local and regional ballot campaigns. Working on behalf of the Saltworks since 2005, Jay was responsible for facilitating the community-planning process prior to submitting the Saltworks project and continues to work with senior management and the entitlements team in bringing the vision of the Saltworks to life through words, depictions and animation. He directs the local grassroots efforts, political strategy, government relations, media relations and communications implementation. Jay has a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Northern Arizona University and graduate studies in communications from the University of Southern California.
Jeri Richardson-Daines, Manager of Communications & Community RelationsJeri has been with DMB Associates since 2008 when she played a critical role in defeating Measure W, a local ballot initiative aimed at stopping the Saltworks. Jeri is a fourth generation Redwood City resident and serves the Saltworks by implementing core communications and community relations programs. In addition to her role as communications manager, Jeri is also responsible for general Saltworks operations. Jeri is an appointed member of Redwood City’s Housing and Human Concerns Committee and an Executive Officer on the Board of Directors for the Sequoia Awards, a local non-profit organization. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in real estate from the University of San Diego.
Mike Roberts, Senior Vice President of Community DevelopmentMike is primarily responsible for community planning, engineering, budgeting and scheduling related to DMB’s Pacific Operating Group projects throughout California and in Hawaii. Mike has over 37 years experience in the commercial construction and real estate development industry and has worked for a number of commercial construction companies and real estate development firms throughout the Midwest and Western United States.
David C. Smith, Esq., Senior Vice PresidentDavid oversees regulatory entitlement efforts for the Saltworks. His legal experience includes CEQA, NEPA, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and other related federal and state environmental laws. He has also been very involved with California’s greenhouse gas reduction and climate change efforts.
